10 things that made me happy in August.

Hello there,
as we are approaching the end of August, I thought I would write a little list of things that made me happy this month.

In no particular order. (I could be the Xfactor host... ha-ha)

1. Taking my Daughters to Kidzania, it's a role play city where kids get to experience doing jobs and earning money, it's situated in westfield shopping centre in London, (there is more all over the world) taking them here made me very happy as they have been so excited to visit this place for about a year and watching them having heaps of fun there makes my heart feel all warm and fuzzy.

2. Picnics in the park. We do this a lot when the weather is nice, cheap family days out and we can all let off some energy and also meet up with family & friends.

3. London day out, my Children really wanted to visit the sugglife x PB (#SLxPB) pop up shop in Covent garden, it's YouTubers Zoella (Zoe sugg) ThatcherJoe (Joe sugg) and Pointless blog (Alfie Deyes) collab on merchandise, selling hoodies, phone cases, posters and other bits, this made me happy seeing my Children happy and we made a day of it around London.

4. Discovering Caramel Frappè's from McDonalds... naughty treat but absolutely love them.

5. Finding out about a park we've never heard of through a page called 'Milton Keynes kids' on Facebook. This made me very happy as it's an amazing park for a day out, so much to do. I loved it so much I wrote a blog post about it.  The place  is called Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire, they have assault course, adventure trail, playground, cafe, bike hire and even a little area indoors.

6. The sun coming out again, no more grey skies, rain and Autumn weather, instead, lovely sunshine so we could all wear our summer clothes again and enjoy family evening walks before it starts getting darker.

7. Signing up to Twitter & Instagram as Jan's little life, this made me happy as I can communicate and share with amazing, wonderful people on social media. Love seeing the amazing photos of people's lives and reading their stories.

8. School shopping, I am adding this because usually this is very stressful, this year it has been so easy and stress free, even school shoes shopping which I'm usually tearing my hair out with, not this year, we win at school shopping, we nailed it which makes me happy!

9. Izombie on Netflix. This makes me happy because I've just finished season 1 and it's hard for me to find a series I can watch when my mind is busy (I have anxiety) and can't concentrate fully on a series that really needs your full attention. It's a light hearted, funny crime series with a zombie who works in a morgue, she eats the brains of dead people, then has flash backs which helps the police in finding the killers... it's brilliant.

10. A last minute trip to the local pub to meet up with some friends, having my friends phone me up begging me (nagging and not letting me get away with not going) to go and meet them for a drink made me feel so loved and happy. It wasn't a wild night out, just kids playing in the pub garden while we all chatted and caught up with each other.

It's the little things in life that are so very precious.

What made you happy recently? I would love to read your happy things, please leave a comment with the things that's made you happy.

Ta ta for now

Blogtober #4

Giving birth to a huge baby. Day 4 of  Blogtober I thought in today's post I would write about the birth of my youngest child (now 10 years old) Isabella, she was a hefty weight, not at all your average baby weight, although I have heard of much bigger babies being born (my eyes sting at that thought) so here is my story of how my beautiful little girl entered the world. Before I begin, I would like to say that I kept telling midwives I was carrying an elephant inside me, they would say she is only going to be about 1 lb bigger than my older two children's birth weights (8lb 6oz & 8lb 7oz) I had SPD (where the ligaments over stretch in the pelvis, causing a lot of pain) I was depressed as I could hardly do anything, the pain was immense, I used to cry whenever I needed to get up out of my bed to go to the loo, (which was often, babies like using our bladder as a trampoline) I would literally crawl to the bathroom, the midwives just said they couldn't

Blogtober fail!

I failed! I am so very sorry, I have completely failed at blogtober, I was so determined to do it, but so not prepared, I had technology issues and Wi-Fi (changed provider) being down, and thinking I can easily write a post each day, add in a college course and a family & home to take care of, I failed, and I am so very sorry to all of you for that, next year I shall be prepared, I shall be organised as I have learned so much from other bloggers and from myself so next time I shall have most of it written and ready to go, instead of writing on the day. Makes sense really doesn't it? I haven't been blogging long and it really shows with this, although this is how you learn to do things, from mistakes and advice. I just want to say a big thank you for your kind messages checking if I am ok, for your patience and understanding over me not uploading new blogtober posts, big thank you for reading my previous posts and I will be posting more posts just not daily at t

Harvest festival. Today I was inspired to write this post, as tomorrow Isabella's (Daughter) school is having a harvest festival assembly, so I was inspired to talk to you about food banks. Food banks are so essential for so many people, more than you could imagine have to use them, people who you would assume would have a good wage coming in from their jobs like Nurses for instance, so many Nurses are struggling to make ends meet, it is so heartbreaking that such kind, caring and selfless people like Nurses are struggling as much as they do, also hard working families who are working so much to the point of exhaustion, yet sadly struggle to get by once bills are paid, parents going hungry to make sure their children get a meal, its a desperate time for a lot of people, and not just around harvest festival and Christmas time, this is every day of every week. This is where you, me and anyone else out there can help, there are so many food bank collections out ther
