Nail art.

Nail art, I love, love pretty nails.

Oh how I love a pretty manicure, sadly my budget doesn't stretch to a pro to do it so I do it myself. Sometimes its a hit but often its an epic fail, but practice makes perfect as they say, right? so here is a some that I took photos of. Most of the fails I just removed and tried, tried and tried again (yep many big fails) I get inspired by nails I see on instagram and YouTube but many of those were just huge fails for me, next time I shall show you exactly how much of a fail by posting a photo or two.

Christmas Gingerbread Men Nails.

I loved these cute little Gingerbread Men, I bought them off ebay they are water transfer nail decals. so cute!
My nails are painted with a red gel polish by Sensationail which was a gift and cured in a UV lamp with a glitter top coat.
The gold nails are a gel polish by Bluesky and I bought it off ebay (ebay is amazing) and added the gingerbread men and glitter topcoat which is also by Bluesky and bought off ebay.
Purple gel nails with a silver star pattern.

The purple gel polish is a Cadburys purple (love Cadburys, love chocolate.) its by Bluesky and from ebay, the star pattern is done with a nail stamping kit which was also bought off Ebay.
This took a few trials and errors before I got it right but once I did it looked amazing.

Teal with white polka dots!

This was done with Avon's teal gel finish nail polish (doesn't need a uv lamp) and dots made with a larger end of a dotting tool and Ciaté white polish.

There are so many amazing products on the market to help create amazing nails at home, my favourites are the nail stamping kit, you can pick these up cheap on ebay like this one.
There are sponges to create ombre style nails, I had some bought for me as a gift from my Mum but not had time to try them out, I shall try soon and show you the results, good or bad.
So many types of nail decals, sticker types and water transfers, these nails below had snowflake stickers on which were glittery and so pretty and festive,
These nails are messy but I was *trying* to go for Frozen themed nails.

More nail decal stickers think this style is more my Daughter's style.
Two of my favourite things together in one very awesome mix, sugar skull, glittery nails. wow.
I really wish I had a better photo, these really looked so very cute and sparkly.

My Daughters both had manicures done by me for Christmas last year, they are so in love with nail art too, which makes me a happy Mummy that they share one of my many passions.
Colour changing polish, reacts to cold and heat, goes from cerise pink to pale pink.

My Eldest Daughter has got into nail art recently, not bad for her 1st attempt I don't think, I was very proud and wore them like this for two days which made her very happy, as when she does my hair I am naughty and re-do it before I go out. Sorry G.

I could go on and on all day and night about nails, but I shall stop here as I am sure many of you are thinking "shut up" already.

There will be many more blogs about nails and epic nail fails.

Ta ta for now

Thanks for reading

Hello there, I think they are easy to do, although I have messed the transfers up a couple of times but that was because my fingers weren't wet when I tried to put the transfer into place on my nails. You just put these into a bowl of luke warm water and wait for it to slide off the backing paper, wet fingers and carefully pick up the transfer and put onto nail, wait for it to be fully dry and then paint a topcoat over the nails, then enjoy your amazing pretty nails.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my blog. J x

Blogtober #4

Giving birth to a huge baby. Day 4 of  Blogtober I thought in today's post I would write about the birth of my youngest child (now 10 years old) Isabella, she was a hefty weight, not at all your average baby weight, although I have heard of much bigger babies being born (my eyes sting at that thought) so here is my story of how my beautiful little girl entered the world. Before I begin, I would like to say that I kept telling midwives I was carrying an elephant inside me, they would say she is only going to be about 1 lb bigger than my older two children's birth weights (8lb 6oz & 8lb 7oz) I had SPD (where the ligaments over stretch in the pelvis, causing a lot of pain) I was depressed as I could hardly do anything, the pain was immense, I used to cry whenever I needed to get up out of my bed to go to the loo, (which was often, babies like using our bladder as a trampoline) I would literally crawl to the bathroom, the midwives just said they couldn't

Blogtober fail!

I failed! I am so very sorry, I have completely failed at blogtober, I was so determined to do it, but so not prepared, I had technology issues and Wi-Fi (changed provider) being down, and thinking I can easily write a post each day, add in a college course and a family & home to take care of, I failed, and I am so very sorry to all of you for that, next year I shall be prepared, I shall be organised as I have learned so much from other bloggers and from myself so next time I shall have most of it written and ready to go, instead of writing on the day. Makes sense really doesn't it? I haven't been blogging long and it really shows with this, although this is how you learn to do things, from mistakes and advice. I just want to say a big thank you for your kind messages checking if I am ok, for your patience and understanding over me not uploading new blogtober posts, big thank you for reading my previous posts and I will be posting more posts just not daily at t

Harvest festival. Today I was inspired to write this post, as tomorrow Isabella's (Daughter) school is having a harvest festival assembly, so I was inspired to talk to you about food banks. Food banks are so essential for so many people, more than you could imagine have to use them, people who you would assume would have a good wage coming in from their jobs like Nurses for instance, so many Nurses are struggling to make ends meet, it is so heartbreaking that such kind, caring and selfless people like Nurses are struggling as much as they do, also hard working families who are working so much to the point of exhaustion, yet sadly struggle to get by once bills are paid, parents going hungry to make sure their children get a meal, its a desperate time for a lot of people, and not just around harvest festival and Christmas time, this is every day of every week. This is where you, me and anyone else out there can help, there are so many food bank collections out ther
