Blogtober #3

Autumn//Fall facts about me. For day three of blogtober I thought I would do 10 Autumn//Fall themed facts about me, from my childhood, as an adult and also as a Mummy. 1.   I have never carved a pumpkin My Children do pumpkins every year, they do them with their Daddy. Maybe this year I will have a go at doing one myself, although I'm sure it'll look like it had been run over by an articulated lorry when I've finished with it. 2. I have only been trick or treating once maybe twice as a child. My parents didn't like the idea of it so my brothers and I never went. I went with my friends for the first time when I was about 11 years old. I used a bin bag for a dress, witches hat and did black lips, wish my Children's costumes were that cheap (ha) 3. A friend (both 11) didn't talk to me for a month because I couldn't go to her Halloween party. Our friendship was never the same after that, she never forgave me. 4. I walked through a grave yard ...

Cozy snuggles & movies . Today I have a poorly daughter (Isabella) so no school for her today, so after we've been to her doctor's appointment, it's snuggles and a movie for us. In our house, October to January is a time when we watch a lot of movies, we love to get the big fluffy fur and fleece blankets out and snuggle up as a family to watch a movie. I thought I would list some of the movies we love to watch in October. Perhaps you and your families love to watch them too, or maybe you loved watching some of these when you were a child, I know I did, which makes watching them with my children even more comforting and special. Here are my top 15 family movies (minus Beetle Juice? although my kids love it) Hocus Pocus Hotel Transylvania (1&2) The Adams Family  Beetle Juice (although only for the older Children) Coraline The Nightmare Before Christmas Witches  Harry Potter (any) Fantastic Mr Fox James and the giant peach Charli...

Blogtober #1

My introduction. Hello there, I shall be attempting my first blogtober this year, and I am actually very nervous about it, so many worries, like what if it's just boring to read, what if it's too much to actually post content every day for 31 days, well I like a challenge and I really want to take part, so move over worries because I am doing this!  I really hope you all enjoy it. My blogtober will be a little bit of everything, just like my blog itself. So to start off blogtober I shall introduce myself to those that don't know who I am. My name is Janet I am 32 years old and I live in a little town in Oxfordshire. I have three children, Joshua (14) Georgina (11) and Isabella (10) I feel incredibly blessed to have three amazing children and every day I look at them and feel so very lucky (although perhaps not so much when I'm getting back chat or tantrums, ha) being a Mummy is something I've always wanted to be, from a young age it was always w...

My Paranormal activity experience.

Hello there, This post is my review of the movie Paranormal activity, and a short review at that. I'm a bit late as this movie has been out for 10years, but so much hype over it back then and still hear a lot about it now, we thought we'd give it a watch. This movie is about Katie & Micah a couple who live together with something paranormal living with them. Good points. I really enjoyed the home movie parts and I liked how it just focused on them at home and didn't over complicate things with adding work, social outings etc. I liked how it showed the stress it caused on the relationship, but also the closeness and bond it gave them. I also liked how it had a background story and didn't just happen suddenly. Bad points. Where to begin, it's slow, that didn't bother me at first but then it really got on my wick as it just didn't get any better, I'm not that good with horror movies as I get scared easily, this didn't scare me at all, ...

My Autumn/fall plus size wishlist.

Hello there, Autumn is upon us, and I love it. it's crisp air and the smell of peoples chimneys brings me joy, the leaves are falling and it is looking beautiful with the oranges and yellows of the leaves scattered around the trees, soon there will be blankets of leaves underneath the trees and I absolutely love it. I thought I would do a wishlist of items I am desperate to add to my very small wardrobe (emphasis on the small please) I am a plus sized Mumma so shopping for clothes is so limited (that is my fault, and my problem) so buying online or venturing out of my town is pretty much the only way I can buy clothes, Asos, Yours clothing, Debenhams, Newlook and River Island I am loving at the moment. So here are my wishlist items. Asos. Fox dressing gown, I have no idea why we all associate foxes with Autumn (is it their colour?) but  we do, even though I see more foxes in the spring and summer than I do in the  Autumn, I think this is so cute, snuggly and fu...
