Fimo Fun!!
I really need to get better at giving my posts better titles, I apologise if they aren't very good.
When I was a little girl (many moons ago) my Daddy dearest once bought some Fimo and we would make beads and magnets etc, well.... I had a little shopping trip a couple of weeks ago and bought some FIMO!! I was so excited and when my little parcel arrived I was like a kid at Christmas! (Yep I was jumping around, clapping, squealing the lot. oh dear)
I have so many plans of what to make next but haven't found much time lately, I did make a few little bits with my Daughters as we want to do decoden on some little wooden trinket boxes they have painted. (I shall do a little post about that)
So far we have made some teeny tiny itsy bitsy chocolate bars, lolly pops and flumps, some of the things that my little girl had made has left me rather baffled, I have no idea what they are meant to be. I just love how creative she was being!
I have so far made, a sugar skull (I love, love, love sugar skulls) I am planning on turning it into a keyring or handbag charm. I saw a video on youtube and the woman had the same silicone skull ice tray that I have (bought it years ago, it was shut away in the dark cupboard, forgotten about until now) and thought, YES!! I can make that, so I did (after lots of searching the cupboard for the tray) I am rather proud of my little sugar skull I have learned from a couple of little mistakes I had made from my paint job on it, but that's the fun of trying things out, you get to try again and improve on the mistakes and make it even better, while still enjoying the original things you've made, after all they are our pieces of art!
I am only a little unhappy about the web, it needs to be thinner, apart from that I am very happy with my 1st attempt. Yay me, yay to Fimo, it is very awesome, like grown up play doh. (although much tougher to play with) The next thing I have made is a little pea pod, I love the little peas in Toy Story and I really love the cute little Kawaii style foodies.
This went very wrong, I tried to make a face on one of the peas with fimo, it didnt go so well and I couldn't get it off. I painted the other two peas which look much better.
I shall make them again and I want to make a couple of them for Friends of mine.
My poor little pea on the far right. (oops) |
I've been pinning so much on pinterest to give a try, I really love handmade things, and I want my Children to enjoy making things as gifts too, watch this space for many more little creations.
If you like things like this, give it a go it really is lots of fun!!
Ta ta for now
Thanks for reading

I have a few ideas (some I need plenty of practice at so watch out for epic fails) I am loving that my Children enjoy Fimo also as it's something we can all do together.
Thank you for you reading ahd for commenting.
